Competition amongst the best Under-12 male and female footballers from across Northern NSW wrapped up yesterday at BCU International Stadium in Coffs Harbour on the final day of the Northern NSW Football Under-12 State Championships.
 
The Championships commenced on Saturday and in the third day of competition yesterday, teams were faced with testing conditions as persistent showers pushed across the stadium.
 
Each of Northern NSW Football’s seven member zones participated, with teams in both the Under-12 male and Under-12 female divisions.
 
In the Girls Under-12s, Newcastle Football went through undefeated to finish on top of the table with 16 points. 
 
Football Mid North Coast finished 2nd (12 points); Football Far North Coast 3rd (12 points); Macquarie Football 4th (7 points); Hunter Valley Football 5th (7 points); North Coast Football 6th (6 points) and Northern Inland Football 7th (1 point).
 
In the Boys Under-12 division, both Macquarie Football and Newcastle Football finished the Championships undefeated, with Macquarie Football finishing on top of the table with 14 points and Newcastle Football in 2nd place on 12 points.
 
Football Mid North Coast finished 3rd (9 points); Football Far North Coast 4th (8 points); Hunter Valley Football 5th (6 points); North Coast Football 6th (5 points) and Northern Inland Football 7th (3 points).
