The eight remaining teams in the Solo Cup met at BCU International Stadium in Coffs Harbour yesterday afternoon in the first of the finals series matches to determine the eventual Grand Finalists in the inaugural knockout competition.
In the first of the Quarter-Finals kicking off at 2pm, Weston Workers Bears came up against local club Coffs City United, whilst Woolgoolga FC had a short trip south to Coffs to clash with Valentine Phoenix.
The NBN State League club showed little respect for the locals, with Weston Workers Bears 4 (Rob Macbeth, Michael Ryan (2), Matt Toohey) defeating Coffs City United 1 (Ben Mackay).
In Quarter Final 2, Woolgoolga FC 0  was defeated by Valentine Phoenix 3 (Nathan McAllister, Nathan Conglaves, Alex Read). 
In the remaining Quarter Finals kicking off at 4pm, Maclean FC 1 (Jarrod Doyle) were defeated by Broadmeadow Magic 6 (David Baille, Simon Mooney (2), Peter Haynes, Ben Martin, Andrew Hoole),  with Oxley Vale Attunga 3 (Lachlan Brown (2), Chris Foto) defeated by Toronto Awaba 8 (Todd Cawley (3), Christian Okonkwo, Wilson Edwards, David McPherson (3).
Matches continue today at BCU International Stadium with Semi Final clashes to determine the Grand Finalists who will meet on Saturday 7th August for the Solo Cup decider.
Both Semi Finals kick off at 11am with Broadmeadow Magic to meet Weston Workers Bears and Valentine Phoenix to come up against Toronto Awaba.
