About Alstonville and Wollongbar
The villages of Alstonville and Wollongbar sit between Ballina and Lismore and are home to a combined community of approximately 7,000.
Alstonville sits on the top of the coastal range and enjoys views to the ocean. The town has a strong shopping area, and has several restaurants and cafes along the main street.
Wollongbar, is further towards Lismore from Ballina and is home to a small community of 1,700. The village has a few restaurants and good local facilities. It is also home to a large TAFE facility.

The villages enjoy several dining options highlighting the quality local produce.
Travellers can base themselves in either village and explore the region, being central the villages are close to Ballina, Evans Heads, Lismore, Woodburn and even Byron Bay.
