Evans Head is a small village approximately 30 minutes south of Ballina. Originally a strong fishing village, the town still supports a fishing fleet. With a permanent population of 3,000 and good local facilities to cater for most holidaymakers. During the summer the local caravan park plays host to many local communities who relocate for the Christmas break.
The village enjoys excellent weather throughout the year, and has become popular with those looking for a getaway without the crowds.
During the year the village plays host to the Evans Head Fishing Competition which has a range of prizes for the fisherman.

Wardell bridge is well know for jewfish and through the summer months you can guarantee a lot of boats moored underneath the bridge.
