About Tweed Heads
Tweed Heads is the largest town in the Far North Coast region and is on the southern tip of the Gold Coast. The town straddles the NSW – Queensland border and due to the time differences between the two states offers the chance to enjoy two New Years Eves by simply cross the road.

The Tweed has several tourist facilities and caters for all styles and budgets.
Tweed has easy access to Mt Warning, one of the largest shield volcanoes in Australia.
There are four National Parks close to the city, Nightcap, Border Ranges, Springbrook and Lamington.
Looking for something to do?
Fishing in the Tweed River and in the ocean are popular. There are several fishing charters operating from the area, going both in shore and to outer reefs.
The nightlife caters for all tastes and is popular with the younger crowd.
Visit some of the local National Parks or venture up Mt Warning for some of the best views of the region, the hike up Mt Warning can be tough but is well worth the experience.
Tweed is close to the amusement parks on the Gold Coast.
Tweed Heads is home to a number of markets, events, museums and cultural experiences.
